Northern Montana College

BUSINESS & INDUSTRY DISTRICT (BIDD) – Located on the outskirts of Malta, Montana and at the crossroads of US Highways 2 (east/west) and 191 (north/south). The proposed development district is owned and managed by PhillCo Economic Growth Council (PhillCo), a private non-profit corporation organized to promote economic development and activity in Phillips County.

The former airport site features 133 acres. The area includes three existing building sites with several potential building sites. Electricity is provided by Montana Power Company and natural gas by Montana Dakota Utilities.

City of Malta water and sewer is available on site. A new access road has been constructed directly off of US 191. Access to US 2 and BN rail is less than 1 mile away. Malta is provided daily UPS and truck transport services.

Masterplan and subdivision complete - Spring 2001

A 99 year lease agreement has been entered into with the City of Malta for control of the property with the right to sell lots for business/industry development as required. Entered into conversations with the Montana National Guard about locating new site within the BIDD.
